Restaking native ETH vs LSTs
Native restaking commits ETH already staked through Ethereum validators, pointing that validator's withdrawal path at EigenLayer. LST restaking instead deposits liquid staking tokens — such as tokens that represent staked ETH — into EigenLayer.

AVSs & operators
Actively Validated Services (AVSs) are additional services or modules — for example data-availability layers, oracles or other infrastructure — that draw on EigenLayer's restaked security instead of bootstrapping their own trust network.
Restakers usually delegate to operators, who run the validation work for the AVSs they support. Each AVS defines its own conditions, and each operator makes its own choices, so the AVSs and operator you are exposed to matter. Review them before delegating.
The EIGEN token & rewards
EIGEN is EigenLayer's protocol token. Incentives for restaking may arrive as rewards or points, and these are not guaranteed to convert to any particular value.

Withdrawals & delays
Restaked positions are not instantly liquid. Unrestaking and withdrawing generally involve a queue and a delay before funds can be moved, so your assets can be locked for a period after you request an exit.
